Pre-Requisites

• Higher NITEC or Intermediate NITEC in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications / Computer Engineering
• Good analytical and fault finding skills
• Must understand at least two of electrical/electronic/air conditioning/pneumatic/mechanical system
• Computer literacy is a advantage
• Have good initiatives and strong troubleshooting skills
• Able to work well in a team and independently in demanding situations with minimum supervision
• Required to work on 3 rotating shifts
• Required to be on 24 hours standby round the clock for any unforeseen emergency recall

Key Responsibilities

• Respond readily to overhaul and maintenance activities in workshop
• Maintain, repairs, trouble-shoots, inspects, diagnoses all rolling stock equipment during overhaul and maintenance activities
• Performs pre-service checks on trains prior to revenue service and rectify any abnormality encountered during inspections
• Undertakes modification works and fleet-wide checks
• Assists in the planning and organizing maintenance activities
• Ensures strict compliance and adherence to the safety rules and regulations, reports any hazard to the management
