Market Analyst (Project)

The Markets & Operations team is the core business unit in COMPANY that provides operational resource and support to the Singapore electricity wholesale market. The Market Analyst (Projects) is responsible for supporting the fulfilment of market operation obligations of COMPANY in accordance with the market rules and plays a key role to improve and synergize essential business processes from the market clearing and scheduling to the market settlement within the team. He/she also contributes to market evolution process by working with internal team and the external stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

• Scope the business requirements holistically for market system enhancements.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) thoroughly to ensure the quality delivery.
• Proactively contribute to the market rule changes and market evolution processes.
• Spearhead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and mitigate operational risk .
• Perform market incident investigation and market performance analysis
• Provide 24x7 operations support including on-call support (rotational basis)

Requirements:

• Good degree in Business or Engineering with 1 to 3 years of working experience.
• Strong interest in understanding business and highly motivated to provide solutions to end users.
• Highly IT literate and web savvy, preferable with programming and SQL knowledge.
• Meticulous with strong analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
